I don’t know if it’s just because I have been so busy this Spring or because I have writer’s block but it has been over a month since I have blogged! It is time to get back in the swing of things and put the Farmville 2 app down lol!
Since my last entry I have went on vacation back home to Louisville, Kentucky to see family and show them our new baby girl Lilly! She is now 4 months old and starting to learn how to sit up on her own.
To get to Louisville we had to drive through the mountains of Virginia which was new and so much fun for me…not so much the boyfriend who had to drive! He was a nervous wreck the whole time lol! I think the coolest thing was driving through a mountain tunnel. We decided to drive the whole way through which was 9 hours and we won’t be doing again…but Lilly slept most of the way for her first long road trip which was awesome.
We got there 2 days before Easter so it was so much fun to celebrate at my moms and hide eggs, hunt, and give out baskets!
We went to this awesome orchard and winery called Huber’s in Starlight Indiana. Although they didn’t have anything to freshly pick yet we still went to their shops, played on their kid’s playground, and ate at their restaurant. I also brought home this delicious Blackberry wine made at their winery, some new wine glasses, and delicious cheeses made on site by their home grown cows!
We also took the kids to the Louisville Zoo which was mostly because I wanted to go lol! I grew up going to this zoo and it is one of my favorite places in the world and wanted to share that with my kids and my family. There is so much to do there from a water park, to shows where you can get hands on, and tons of exhibits! It was so much fun and the weather was perfect! I don’t think I have walked that much since Lilly has been born. For sure broke a lot of records on my Fitbit that day lol!
On our way home, we chose not to drive all the way through so we got a hotel in West Virginia and went to this tourist attraction aka trap called the Tamarak! It was filled with so many locally crafted goodies and art you could buy (really expensive hence trap), you could watch them do demonstrations like blowing glass and carving wood, have breakfast lunch or dinner, and their was even a dinner theater! It was actually pretty awesome for the price we paid to take home souvenirs and will for sure go back their next time!
Since we have been home all I have been doing is cleaning, cleaning, and more Spring cleaning. Going through all the closets and donating all of our clothes and Lilly’s clothes that don’t fit anymore. I realized I am a freebie/reviewer hoarder and also slimmed down that part of my life lol! In lieu of that I will be giving away a big box of beauty and welnees products sometime soon so keep a look out on my blog sometime in the month of may!
